Autotrophs
lion

A heterotroph cannot make its own energy. Some examples of heterotrophs are lions, zebras, and, elephants. When a zebra eats grass it is obtaining indirect sunlight. When a lion eats a zebra it is also obtaining sunlight indirectly. This is because the grass the zebra ate obtained sunlight.

Cheetah

Heterotrophs feed off other life forms. One example is eagles. They eat other animals such as rabbits. This is a lot more different than Autotrophs. They produce their own food. Unlike heterotrophs. Heterotrophs can’t make their own food. They obtain energy from other living things such as grass and other animals. Some examples of heterotrophs are herbivores, carnivores, and omnivores.
